Meeko

Smiley Meeko is an instant hit – lovable, affectionate and playful, with bags of personality and those good looks to match! He hasn’t had the best start in life and can be a sensitive boy, initially unsure of strangers — particularly if they come into his space too quickly — so care will need to be taken with visitors and introductions. With kindness and patience, however, he quickly shows just how loving and devoted he can be. Meeko is a real foodie — the minute you give him a treat, you’re his friend for life! He is incredibly bright, loves training and picks things up very quickly. He’s eager to please, very obedient, and his food motivation makes him a joy to work with. He absolutely loves the great outdoors and is always up for an adventure. He’s also a real water baby! An active home that can give him plenty of exercise and stimulation would suit him best. Meeko would benefit from a quieter home environment without young children (including visiting children) and with someone around for most of the day. He will need some patience and guidance with toilet training and learning to be left alone. He is great with other dogs and particularly enjoys the company of the ladies, so a steady female companion would be ideal. He cannot live with cats. Ongoing training and continued lead work will help him reach his full potential — and with the right input, he truly has the makings of a fabulous dog.
